Hi friends, Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We can discuss any topic related to improvisation, such as theory, harmony, ear-training, guitar techniques, scales, modes, creativity, and composition. I look forward to hearing from you.Have a nice day.
Hello Chester, what are your suggestions to embellishing chords on a standard including a minor blues? It's about the beautiful "Stolen moments" with that chord progression, then improvisation space on C minor blues. I use a good leadsheet from Tina and iReal. Here I have 1-2 chord shapes for the chords. I would like to add embellishing chords in a relaxed way.
Hello Chester, I search for a rule, in what situation a minor 6 chord is a better option than a minor 7. The 6 in a minor 6 chord is a major 6, right? So it would fit to a "2" of a "251", to the dorian scale with the mj 6. But it seems more complicated 😀.
And to guitar gear: Is it typical for flat wound guitar strings that the sustain is less? Is there a solution to use flat wound but with more sustain?
Hello Chester,
I have a few questions plz:
1- how can i work on articulations ? how my playin can sound more accurate ?
2- Do you have any tips on how play out on diatonic progression ?
3- is there any alternative of altered scale over 7#9 ?
